ASTM A335 P22 Pipe Suppliers

At Sachin Steel, we supply, manufacture and export high-quality ASTM A335 P22 pipes, also known as ASME SA335 Grade P22. These pipes are available in both seamless and welded types and are designed to meet strict performance and safety standards. The P22 grade is a ferritic alloy steel that works well in high-temperature and high-pressure environments. It contains chromium and molybdenum, which improve strength, resistance to oxidation, and protection against wear over long service periods.

At Sachin Steel, we provide these pipes in different schedules, like SCH 40, SCH 80, SCH XS, and XXS. Customers can choose from standard or customised wall thicknesses depending on their project needs. Sizes start from ½″ and go up to larger diameters, with different end options such as plain, bevelled, or threaded.

We rigorously test chemical composition, mechanical properties, hardness limits, and bend and flattening tests to ensure full compliance with ASTM/ASME norms. Our material sourcing is from certified mills, and our manufacturing processes include hot rolling, cold drawing, annealing, normalising, and tempering as appropriate. Connect with our team to get the detailed knowledge of technical expertise, prompt deliver & competitive pricing for ASTM A335 P22 pipes designed for long life even under severe operating conditions. What is ASTM A335 P22 Pipe?

ASTM A335 P22 (also ASME SA335 Grade P22) is a ferritic alloy steel pipe designed specifically for high-temperature and high-pressure service. It includes alloying elements like chromium (around 1.90 % to 2.60 %) and molybdenum (around 0.87 % to 1.13 %) to improve strength, creep resistance, oxidation resistance, and mechanical durability.  These pipes are typically seamless (but can also be produced via hot-finished or cold-drawn processes) and are supplied in standard and custom dimensions, wall thickness (schedules like SCH 40, SCH 80, SCH XS, etc.), and end finishes (plain, beveled, threaded).

ASTM A335 P22 pipes undergo strict quality testing, chemical composition checks, tensile and yield strength tests, flattening, bend/hardness, and non-destructive examinations — to ensure integrity in critical applications. They are widely used in power plants, petrochemical plants, refineries, boilers, heat exchangers, and steam piping systems where reliable performance under harsh temperature and pressure conditions is essential.

FAQs About ASTM A335 P22 Pipe

A335 P22 is a seamless alloy steel pipe made of chromium-molybdenum (2.25% Cr, 1% Mo) designed for high-temperature and high-pressure applications in industries like power plants and petrochemical plants.

ASTM A335 P22 pipes can safely operate in temperatures up to 600°C (1112°F), making them suitable for high-temperature service like boilers and superheaters.

The hardness of P22 material typically ranges from 180 to 230 HB (Brinell Hardness), depending on heat treatment and manufacturing processes.

ASTM A335 P22 is a seamless ferritic alloy-steel pipe with 2.25% chromium and 1% molybdenum, designed for high-temperature and high-pressure applications such as power plants and petrochemical industries.

P22 pipes offer high tensile and yield strength, excellent creep resistance, and durability under thermal fatigue, making them suitable for demanding industrial environments.

They are widely used in power generation, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, and pulp & paper industries where high temperature and pressure resistance are essential.
