Beryllium Copper Rods

BeCu Rod (Be-Cu) is a precipitation-hardened copper alloy material with high strength, high hardness, high electrical conductivity, wear resistance and corrosion resistance properties. Alloy 25 (UNS C17200) is a typical alloy, which is around 1.8-2.0% Be, and may contain small quantities of Co or Ni. These rods can be used as a result of heat treatment to have high tensile strength and still possess adequate electrical and thermal conductivity. The non-sparking and non-magnetic properties of their material allow them to be used in demanding applications in the oil and gas, mining, electrical equipment, aerospace, precision tooling and hazardous environments. BeCu Rods also have fairly high fatigue, galling and stress-corrosion resistance.
