Titanium fittings are designed to join, redirect, branch and reduce piping sections in systems with corrosive process media, seawater and chloride rich environments. These fittings can be used together with Titanium Pipes & Tubes for applications where a lightweight, corrosion resistant piping assembly is needed. Grade 2 has a minimum tensile strength of 345MPa and is used for chemical service and marine service, and Grade 5 has a much greater tensile strength and is used for special applications. Titanium has a density of about 4.51 g/cm³, which makes it lighter than many other higher density alloys, thereby decreasing piping weight. Where the appropriate connections are needed, it is also possible to integrate Titanium Flanges and Titanium Fasteners.
