Frequently Asked Questions

Beryllium Copper C17200 Sheet is a high-strength, age-hardenable copper alloy sheet containing approximately 1.80% to 2.00% beryllium.

UNS C17200 is also known as Alloy 25, CDA 172, CuBe2, and Beryllium Copper 172.

In the TH04 temper C17200 reaches 1310 to 1550 MPa tensile strength, above many carbon steels. Steel strength varies widely by grade, so compare against the specific steel and temper you use.

It is used for electrical connectors, switchgear, relay components, spring contacts, aerospace parts, and non-sparking equipment.

Yes, C17200 provides good electrical and thermal conductivity along with high strength.

Yes, C17200 is an age-hardenable alloy that can be heat treated to achieve higher strength and hardness.

Sachin Steel Centre supplies C17200 sheet from 0.10 mm to 4.80 mm in solution annealed, cold worked, age hardened and mill hardened tempers. Thicker material is supplied as plate.

Multiply length in metres by width in metres by thickness in mm by 8.25. A sheet 1 m by 1 m and 1 mm thick weighs about 8.25 kg.

Yes. Form it in the solution annealed TB00 temper, then age harden to reach full strength. Minimum bend radius depends on thickness and temper, so confirm it with us before ordering.
