Sachin Steel Product Banner_27 Aug_002

Titanium Grade 9 (Ti-3Al-2.5V) or “Half 6-4” is an alloy that was developed for a balance of strength, formability, and weldability. It has a density of 4.48 g/cm³, about 2.5-3.5% aluminum and 2.0-3.0% vanadium. Grade 9 offers a higher mechanical strength than commercially pure titanium, but is easier to form and weld than Grade 5. It has also good corrosion resistance in oxidizing, neutral and slightly reducing environments including in chloride containing environments. It is light yet has good mechanical properties, making it suitable for use in tubing, aerospace parts, hydraulic systems, and chemical processing equipment. Sachin Steel Centre produces and provides the Titanium Grade 9 products of various sizes and specifications.
