Titanium Grade 7 (UNS R52400 / W.Nr. 3.7235) is a commercially pure grade of Grade 7 titanium with an addition of palladium (approx. 0.12 – 0.25%). Its mechanical properties are similar to Titanium Grade 2 but the palladium addition allows for enhanced resistance to crevice corrosion and localized attack in hot, low pH, reducing acid environments. This is especially recommended for chemical processing equipment, heat exchangers, reactors and process systems that are exposed to aggressive media such as those found in Grade 7. It also offers very good formability and weldability characteristics enabling it to be formed into various product forms.
