Ti-6Al-4V, also known as Grade 5, is the most frequently used among all the titanium alloys, accounting for more than 50 percent of the world’s usage of titanium. It is an alpha-beta, completely heat-treatable titanium alloy that has medium to high strength with low density and good corrosion resistance properties. It possesses superior seawater and chloride resistance and high fatigue strength and has a good crack propagation resistance.
