What is Beryllium copper wire?

Beryllium copper wire is a high-performance alloy known for exceptional strength, reaching up to 1750 MPa when age-hardened. It withstands intense bending stress, delivers reliable performance at elevated temperatures, and offers outstanding corrosion resistance. Also called BeCu, copper beryllium, or beryllium bronze, this alloy combines copper with beryllium and, in some cases, additional elements to enhance its properties.

The wire’s unique combination of mechanical strength and electrical conductivity makes it ideal for demanding applications. After heat treatment, its strength ranks among the highest of all copper alloys, while maintaining superior conductivity compared to conventional bronzes.
