About Tantalum Wires

Tantalum Wire is made with the pure 99% tantalum-niobium alloy, which provides many benefits, including excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature and high-electricity endurance. They are mostly used in many industries such as electronics, aerospace, and medical applications. With all of this ability, this material becomes very suitable for customising components.  It also has good chemical prorpeties that make it remain stable in too hot or cold conditions without reacting with concentrated acid, hydrochloric acid, and oxygen in the air. In addition to this, tantalum wire also comes with a high melting and boiling point, with a density of 16.6 g/cm³, which makes it’s good choice for high-temperature applications. Due to its excellent corrosion and chemical resistance, this material can survive below 150 °C and can only be dissolved with hydrofluoric acid. Tantalum metal has the fourth-highest melting point, approximately 2996 °C. Also, the pure tantalum recrystallises at approximately 2200°F (1204 °C).

Tantalum wires are thin and elongated strands of tantalum metal. They commonly come in different diameters and lengths that are used according to need. Tantalum wires also have excellent electric conductivity and corrosion resistance towards high-temperature and corrosion resistance.
