Unlike traditional titanium alloys, this Ti 6Al 7Nb material grade substitutes niobium, improving its biocompatibility & making it ideal for medical applications. Ti 6Al 7Nb is known for its excellent fatigue resistance, high strength & superior corrosion resistance, particularly in harsh environments such as those encountered in biomedical and surgical settings such as hip prostheses, bone nails, and joint handles, ensuring long-lasting performance. This alloy features a unique combination of both alpha and beta phases, offering an optimal balance of strength and formability. Manufactured in round bar and rod forms, Ti 6Al 7Nb can be easily forged, machined, or drawn into wire, providing versatility for various fabrication processes. After heat treatment, the alloy’s strength increases by 50% to 100%, making it highly effective in applications that require high strength at elevated temperatures (up to 400°C–500°C).zzz
