About TZM (Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum) alloy

TZM (Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum) alloy is a high-performance material which is composed of molybdenum (Mo), with added titanium (Ti) and zirconium (Zr). TZM alloy offers superior mechanical properties such as exceptional strength, hardness & creep resistance especially at temperatures exceeding 1,000°C. This combination enhances the alloy’s resistance to deformation under stress.

TZM molybdenum alloy is renowned for its high strength-to-weight ratio and thermal stability. Its melting point reaches 2,623°C (4,753°F), significantly higher than that of pure molybdenum. At elevated temperatures, TZM outperforms pure molybdenum in terms of strength and creep resistance, especially in applications above 1,300°C. It is twice as strong as pure molybdenum at these temperatures, offering excellent durability in environments that demand high-performance materials. Its excellent thermal conductivity, low vapor pressure & machinability make it more reliable.
