Frequently Asked Questions

Titanium Wire is a thin, continuous product made from commercially pure titanium or titanium alloys. It is available in different diameters, grades and forms for specialized industrial applications.

Titanium Wire is used for aerospace components, medical devices, welding, springs, filtration, marine equipment, chemical processing and electrochemical applications.

The strength depends on the grade and condition. Grade 5 Titanium Wire can have a tensile strength of approximately 895 MPa minimum, while commercially pure grades generally have lower strength.

The price depends on the grade, diameter, quantity, surface finish, manufacturing standard and order specifications. Customized sizes may also have different pricing.

Grade 2 is commercially pure titanium with excellent corrosion resistance and good ductility, while Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) is an alloy containing aluminium and vanadium that provides significantly higher strength.

Yes. Titanium Wire develops a stable protective oxide layer that provides excellent resistance to corrosion, including exposure to seawater, chlorides and many chemical environments.
