Grade 2 Titanium is a commercially pure grade of titanium, having around 99 percent titanium content, along with controlled amounts of oxygen and iron, making it more stronger compared to Grade 1. It has a perfect combination of mechanical and physical properties such as strength, formability, weldability, and high corrosion resistance. With seawater corrosion resistance and also oxidation resistance as well as having resistance towards various organic acids and aqueous salt solutions, it is highly preferred for industrial use in processes such as chemical processing, marine, heat exchangers, and industries. Grade 2 is also referred to as CP-2 or UNS R50400 and cannot be strengthened by heat treatment.
