Titanium Grade 4 (UNS R50700 / 3.7065) is the strongest grade of commercially pure titanium, with tensile strength similar to that of the stronger austenitic stainless steels. It offers a good corrosion protection in sea water, chlorides and strong chemical media such as chloride solution up to 70°C. Its strength, weldability and resistance to corrosion make it ideal for challenging industrial applications. Sachin Steel Centre is the trusted manufacturer and supplier of Titanium Grade 4 in India, and provides quality products for application where the reliability of product performance under extreme operational conditions is the key issue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Titanium Grade 4 is the strongest commercially pure titanium grade, offering high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and good weldability.

It is used in chemical processing, marine equipment, desalination plants, heat exchangers, and power generation equipment.

Yes. Grade 5 titanium is significantly stronger than Grade 4 because it is an alloy containing aluminium and vanadium.

Titanium Grade 4 can develop surface scratches under abrasive contact, although its strength and hardness provide good resistance to everyday wear.

Yes. It offers excellent corrosion resistance in seawater, chloride environments, and many aggressive chemical conditions.

Yes. Titanium has a density of approximately 4.5 g/cm³, making it about 40–45% lighter than steel, while still providing high strength.
