Titanium Grade 5 ELI MIG Wire manufacturer in India

Titanium grade 5 eli mig wire
The application of filler wire is quite different in welding between components for cryogenic fuel lines and welding between components for spinal implants. This gap is being taken care of by Titanium Grade 5 ELI MIG wire. It is a wire of Grade 23 extra-low interstitial composition, which is wound on spools used for gas metal arc welding, so the fabricator gets the same base materials in the form of aluminum and vanadium as it has in Grade 5 filler and has greater control over the amounts of oxygen and iron, resulting in a weld with greater resistance to cracking and better performance in low-temperature conditions. The wire has the UNS code R56401, just like that of the base metal of Grade 23. Sachin Steel Centre supplies Titanium Grade 5 ELI MIG wire from its Mumbai facility, with every spool tested and certified before dispatch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Titanium Grade 5 ELI MIG wire is Ti-6Al-4V ELI wire used for suitable titanium welding, aerospace, medical, marine, chemical processing and other demanding applications.
ASTM F136 Ti-6Al-4V ELI is identified as UNS R56401. Always verify the applicable UNS designation against the required material specification and certificate.
No. ERTi-23 and ERTi-5 ELI are terms suppliers use for MIG filler wire drawn from Grade 23 base stock. AWS A5.16 does not carry a separately numbered classification for the ELI grade the way it does for ERTi-2 or ERTi-5, so these terms describe the material rather than cite an official class number.
Titanium Grade 5 ELI MIG wire is drawn from Grade 23 base stock, held to tighter iron and oxygen limits than standard Grade 5, which gives the weld better fracture toughness and low temperature ductility at the cost of somewhat lower strength. Standard ERTi-5 MIG wire uses regular Grade 5 chemistry and reaches higher tensile and yield minimums.
Titanium Grade 5 ELI MIG wire carries the UNS number R56401, the same designation used for Grade 23 base metal.
